OUR STORY
I grew up fascinated by the art of fine jewellery - the way a skilled craftsman can transform raw metal and stone into something that carries meaning for a lifetime. That fascination never left me.
After spending eight formative years working in Hatton Garden, London's most prestigious jewellery quarter, I trained alongside some of the finest goldsmiths in the trade. In 2010, I was honoured to receive the Gold Award in World Skills UK for Fine Jewellery Making - a recognition that gave me the confidence to open my own studio in South Woodford.
Our workshop quickly became a trusted service partner for names such as Selfridges, Liberty, and a number of Bond Street boutiques. But what has always mattered most to me is the work we do for the people who walk through our own door - couples commissioning engagement rings, families restoring heirloom pieces, and collectors seeking something truly one of a kind.
Every piece we create is designed and handmade from start to finish. We use both traditional and contemporary techniques, and we never cut corners - because a piece of fine jewellery should last not just a lifetime, but generations.
Jewellery has always been about more than aesthetics. It is a language of love, of commitment, of memory. When someone brings me a grandmother's ring to restore, or asks me to design a piece for a proposal, I feel the full weight of that trust. It is a responsibility I have never taken lightly.
Over the years, Martin Oliva has grown into a team of dedicated artisans who share that same philosophy. Each of us believes that the finest jewellery is made slowly, with intention - and that the relationship between maker and client matters just as much as the finished piece itself.
