Jewellery and Watch Services, Under One Roof
A ring that no longer fits, a wedding band that has lost its shine, an inscription for an anniversary, a stone you want reset into something you will wear. Martin Oliva handles all of it at our own London bench.
Goldsmiths, watchmakers and a bespoke designer work in the same workshop, which means one conversation covers the whole job.
Master craftsmanship, modern equipment and a genuine interest in the piece in front of us. Whether it is a simple polish or a commission that takes six weeks, the work is done here, by the people who assessed it.
Services at the Martin Oliva Bench
From a same day polish to a piece designed from a blank sheet. Every job starts with a free inspection and a price you agree before anything begins.
Jewellery Repairs
Ring resizing, claw tightening, stone replacement, chain and clasp work, rhodium plating and engraving restoration. Our goldsmiths match the original alloy and finish, so the mend does not announce itself.
Watch Services & Repairs
Battery changes through to full movement overhauls, on all major brands. Crystal replacement, bracelet adjustment, water resistance testing, ultrasonic cleaning and case refinishing.

Sit down with our designer, choose your stones and metals, and see a CAD render before the piece is handmade in our workshop. Every commission is built around your style, timeline and budget.

Unworn or inherited pieces given a second life. We melt, reset or redesign existing gold and gemstones into something you will actually wear, without losing what the piece meant.
Gemstone Supply
Ethically mined natural diamonds, certified lab grown diamonds and coloured gemstones including sapphires, rubies and emeralds. Each stone is chosen by hand and GIA or IGI graded where applicable.

Three services with a workshop protocol of their own. Each has its own page covering the method, what we take on and what it costs.

Jewellery Cleaning & Restoration
Every piece is examined under magnification before any solution touches it, then cleaned by the method that suits it: heated ultrasonic for diamonds and sapphires, steam as a gentle finishing pass, hand polishing and rhodium replating where a piece has worn through. It comes back photographed, gem inspected and packed for safe travel.

Jewellery Engraving
Inside band inscriptions, signet faces, pendant fronts and the backs of lockets, cut with a fibre laser at sub millimetre accuracy. Contact free, so claw set stones never have to leave the piece, and consistent across gold, platinum, silver, steel and ceramic. Nothing is cut until you have approved the proof.

Watch Engraving
Caseback dedications and bracelet monograms on fine timepieces. The laser never touches the watch, so there is no pressure on the caseback and no vibration through the movement, and it marks surfaces a graver cannot safely reach: ceramic bezels, sapphire casebacks, PVD coated steel, titanium. Afterwards the case is cleaned, gaskets checked and water resistance tested again.
Learn moreFrom First Look to Finished Piece
The same four steps whichever service you need, so you always know where your piece is and what happens next.
Talk to us
Bring the piece in or tell us about it first. The initial inspection costs nothing and we will say plainly what can be done and what cannot.
Assessment & quote
The piece is examined under magnification, then you get a quote covering the work itself, the timeline and the cost, before anything begins.
Work at the bench
Everything is carried out in our own London workshop by the goldsmith or watchmaker best suited to the job, not sent away to a third party.
Checked & returned
The finished work is inspected again and photographed, then returned to you packed for safe travel with care guidance for the piece.
How We Work
Seen Before It Is Touched
Nothing is cleaned, cut or opened up before it has been inspected under magnification. The method follows the piece, rather than one protocol applied to everything that comes through the door.
Our Own Workshop
Repairs, restoration, engraving and bespoke commissions are all made at our London bench. Your piece stays with us, and the person who assessed it is the person who works on it.
Nothing Starts Without You
You get the price and the timeline before any work begins, and if we find something else once the piece is open we come back to you rather than adding it to the invoice.
Bring us the piece
Book a consultation in the studio or online. There is no charge for the first look and no obligation to go ahead.
