Restore Your Rolex to Factory-Grade Precision
Bring your Rolex back to factory-grade performance with a complete service carried out by trained watchmakers — full mechanical overhaul, pressure testing and a 12-month guarantee on every timepiece.
A Rolex is engineered to perform for generations, but every mechanical movement requires periodic attention to remain at peak condition. Lubricants degrade, gaskets harden and microscopic particles can interrupt the precision of components calibrated to fractions of a millimetre. Martin Oliva offers a complete restoration service that returns your watch to the standards it was built to meet — combining traditional bench skill with the diagnostic equipment used in modern horology.
Whether you wear a classic Datejust passed down through your family or a contemporary Daytona purchased earlier this year, our workshop handles every reference with the same meticulous protocol. All work is carried out in-house at our London workshop and protected by a comprehensive 12-month warranty.
Every Rolex service includes the following:
A full Rolex service at Martin Oliva is a complete restoration — not a clean and polish. Each timepiece passes through ten dedicated stages before it is returned to its owner.
Full Case & Bracelet Disassembly
The case, bezel and bracelet are taken apart to component level so every surface can be inspected and treated individually.
Movement Stripped to Components
The calibre is broken down into its constituent parts — bridges, wheels, springs and jewels — for individual cleaning and assessment.
Ultrasonic Case & Bracelet Cleaning
External parts are cleaned in a multi-stage ultrasonic bath to lift years of accumulated debris from the case middle, lugs and bracelet links, where appropriate to the finish.
Precision Lubrication of the Calibre
Every pivot, jewel and contact point receives the correct grade of horological oil or grease, applied with calibrated dispensers to manufacturer-specified tolerances.
Gasket & Seal Replacement
Every gasket — crown tube, caseback, crystal and pusher — is inspected for compression and replaced wherever there is any sign of wear or deformation.
Dial & Hands Refitted
The dial and hand assembly are returned to the movement with absolute alignment checks, ensuring no shadowing, no rubbing and full original symmetry.
Complete Watch Reassembly
The serviced movement is re-cased and the bracelet refitted in a controlled environment to prevent any contamination during final assembly.
Water & Pressure Resistance Testing
Each watch is subjected to both dry-air and wet pressure testing to certify the case meets the original Rolex water-resistance rating for that reference.
Five-Day Timekeeping Test
The watch is observed across multiple positions over a five-day period to verify rate, amplitude and beat error against chronometer-grade benchmarks.
12-Month International Warranty
Every service is protected by a 12-month written guarantee covering all workmanship and parts fitted by Martin Oliva's watchmakers.
Full Service Prices including VAT
All prices are inclusive of VAT and cover the complete servicing protocol described above. Modern references denote watches currently or recently in Rolex's production line; Classic references denote vintage and discontinued calibres requiring additional specialist time.
All pricing is inclusive of VAT and the 12-month warranty. Replacement parts beyond standard gaskets, dial and case refinishing and any additional restoration work will be quoted separately following inspection.

Rolex Service FAQs
How often should a Rolex be serviced?
Rolex recommends a full service approximately every ten years for modern references, although this interval can shorten if the watch is worn daily, exposed to water frequently or shows signs of timekeeping drift. A quick assessment by our watchmakers is the best way to determine whether your individual watch needs attention now.
How long does a Rolex service take?
A standard service is typically completed within four to six weeks. Vintage references, watches requiring sourced parts or pieces with case-refinishing work may take longer, and we will always confirm a precise timeline at the assessment stage.
Is the service price fixed?
The prices shown above are fixed for the standard ten-stage service protocol. If additional restoration is required — for example, replacement of a damaged dial, crown or bracelet link — we will provide a separate quotation for your approval before any extra work is undertaken.
Will my warranty be honoured if I service my Rolex outside an authorised dealer?
If your watch is still within Rolex's original international guarantee, manufacturer servicing is usually advisable. For watches outside that period, an independent specialist service from Martin Oliva carries our own 12-month warranty and uses parts to the same factory specification.
Do you service vintage Rolex watches?
Yes. Our workshop has extensive experience with vintage Rolex calibres including the 1500, 1530, 1570 and 3035 movements. Vintage servicing is priced under the Classic column and may take additional time due to the sourcing of period-correct components.
Can I send my Rolex from outside the UK?
Yes — we receive watches at our London workshop from clients across the United Kingdom, Europe and internationally. Please contact our team in advance and we will provide guidance on insured, tracked shipping and any customs documentation required for your destination.
